Neutral-cure sealant releases less corrosive by-product during curing, making it a safer choice around many metals, coated surfaces, mirrors, and sensitive building materials. It also produces less of the sharp vinegar-like odour associated with acetoxy silicone.

Yes. Neutral sealant is suitable for exterior joints when it is applied to compatible, properly prepared surfaces. A continuous bead, adequate joint depth, and full curing help maintain a weather-resistant seal.
Most silicone-based neutral sealants are not paintable because common paints do not adhere well to cured silicone. Apply the correct sealant colour and complete painting before sealing unless a paintable formulation is specifically selected.
